Preparing the studio

So, in preparation for our degree show, we've had to sand and paint our white boards so they look pristine  for our work to go onto! We had to do all of this on one of the hottest days of the year in a very hot studio! Here's a few snaps of the work in progress....the painting, before and after as well as trying to figure out how I will display my papers! In the end I decided to have all 5 papers slightly to the right hand side, so that my design visualisations will sit on the left.

I will share with you my final degree show boards, with my fabrics and how it looked for my hand in when I manage to take a picture at the degree show private view - which I am very excited for. So happy that my show is up, my work is handed in and I can finally enjoy the sunshine! 

Marimekko Unikko Car

Whilst looking on the Marimekko Blog, I came across this Nissan Micra that has the wonderful  and very distinctive Unikko print on it, how dreamy! I imagen driving this in every day to work would definitely improve the daily commute! Gorgeous!

Business Card Samples!

Today I came home to find some lovely samples that I had sent off from Moo.com for free! I'm very happy with the quality and colours, will just be changing the back of my design and adding a logo. The best thing about using Moo for my printing is that they let you upload many different designs, so I can have a lovely little selection showing off all my different prints and patterns! It would have been impossible for me to decide on just one print as I am very very indecisive! I also think It is lovely that Moo offer 10 free samples, as you are able to see exactly what you'll get before ordering a massive batch! I realised that I had put my blog as a .com instead of co.uk! Sometimes it's easier to notice mistakes on paper than on a computer screen!

I've designed furnishing fabrics to compliment and co-ordinate with my wallpaper collections, here's some pictures of them being printed, washed and then mounted!

Not long to go now, a little over 2 weeks! EEEK! Stressful times ahead! 

The final countdown!

Apologies for the lack of blogging, it's all been very hectic in the studio currently, with less than 3 weeks to go until our final hand in. There's lots of designs to fix, create, colour in and still print! Here's some snaps of my work in progress, with rolls printing to wallpaper scale, my designs onto fabric and the results of long nights on Illustrator and photoshop finally starting to come together!
